YUMM!! I'm hooked on Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil!! {giveaway}

GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED - PENDING WINNER VALIDATION

Remember when you were a kid and you went to the movie theater for those Saturday matinee movies? The smell of popcorn was irresistible. There was just something about "movie popcorn" that tasted different from popcorn made at home. And back then we didn't have microwave popcorn. Even JiffyPop was new. :) So we made popcorn the old-fashioned way - in a heavy pot on the stove.

Does anybody still make popcorn that way??

Well, I'm here to tell you that you can now go back to that wonderful family tradition and I'll also tell you how you can get that marvelous "movie popcorn" taste right at home!

All you have to do is use Tropical Traditions Gold Label Standard Virgin Coconut Oil. That's right - coconut oil. That's the secret to the best tasting popcorn on the planet!

Tropical Traditions sent me a 32-oz. bottle of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil to try for myself. I love coconut anyway, so this seemed like a match made in heaven. There have been plenty of reviews and recipes written about Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil, so I won't go into that again. What I want to tell you about is my own experience with the oil and why I'm now hooked on it!

Here's a picture of the bottle I was sent:

And here's a picture of that same bottle now:

Yep, I used it all!

Not only is it fabulous for popping popcorn, it is also fabulous for frying. I recently purchased a deep-fryer from CSN Stores and I used the coconut oil in the deep-fryer. Tropical Traditions does caution that coconut oil has a lower smoke point than other oils (340 compared to 375 degrees F) so it is recommended that you mix the coconut oil with some other oil to prevent smoking.

So that's what I did. I mixed the 32-oz. bottle of Tropical Traditions Gold Label Standard Virgin Coconut Oil with 32-oz. of pure corn oil in the deep-fryer (it's a large capacity deep-fryer, in case you're wondering). I then proceeded to cook some frozen french fries and WOW!! I can't tell you how crispy and golden and absolutely delicious they turned out! By mixing the coconut oil and corn oil together, that kept the smoking point down and I was able to deep-fry without any problems at all. Plus they were so crisp and not greasy! And the taste was out of this world!!

Coconut oil does add just a hint of sweetness - after all, it comes from the coconut - but it is only a hint. It doesn't really add sweetness, just the merest impression of it. Kinda like coconut shrimp, where you don't really taste any sweetness, just the coco-nutty-ness. I think it's one of my favorite flavors and I'm now a convert to coconut oil.

And Tropical Traditions sells one of the purest coconut oils out there, very high in anti-oxidants. You can read more about coconut oil here and watch this video to see how they "discovered" coconut oil.

Need free recipes on using coconut oil in your own home? Just click here. If you place an order for Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil, you can download a free ebook too! Just choose "Referred by a Friend" and enter this User ID: 5848159 on your first online order, and the book will be automatically added to your order. For free!

And Tropical Traditions doesn't stop there - you can refer your friends to purchase coconut oil and if they use your ID as their referral, you get a coupon for a free product! Details here.

Customer Service
is always available if you have any questions or have trouble placing your order or downloading your free book.

I can't rave enough about coconut oil. I'm already planning to purchase the gallon size! :)  Try it - I know you'll love it as much as I do!
