PR FRIENDLY!
Because I love discovering new products and new sponsors and sharing them with my readers, I am always open to PR, product reviews, giveaways, etc.
I am a single Baby Boomer blogger in my 50's and I am NOT ready to be put out to pasture! I still enjoy experimenting with makeup and fashion. I love music, theatre, movies, books, anything cultural and artistic.
Having no children at home, I would not be interested in baby items (although I do have a niece with a toddler and a newborn who would be ecstatic to "guest review" such items for me!) but just about anything else would be welcome. I live in a tiny apartment, so space-saving products, storage products, decorating items, cooking items, appliances, etc. would all be given a thorough testing by me in order to write an honest review.
I'm also something of a tech geek, so electronics and computer items would also be welcome. Jewelry, of course! What woman doesn't love jewelry? :) Gift items are also welcome, as well as clothing and accessories.
My readers are mostly fellow Baby Boomers who share my passion for living and staying abreast of new products, particularly in the online marketplace. No monetary compensation is required or requested. I simply love finding and trying products in which my readers might be interested, and I love communicating my product experiences to my readers.
In order to provide an honest review of a product to my blog visitors, I require a non-returnable sample to use and evaluate. All reviews will be honest and, of course, my opinion only. If there are negatives about a product, I carefully word them in a review because I know that not everyone will have the same opinion. I do pride myself on being completely honest, so even if I gush and rave about a product it is because I feel that strongly about it!
However, I reserve the right not to write a blog review of a product if I can find nothing positive to say about it. If I cannot stand behind a product, there is no room for it on my blog. I am here to provide helpful information, not to rip something to shreds, even if it deserves (in my opinion, of course) to be ripped to shreds. Product samples provided to facilitate a review will not be returned in any case.
Finding fresh, innovative products is crucial to my blog review mission. I want the products no other blogs have. My "niche", if I have one, is presenting something different to my readers. This keeps them coming back time after time to see what unique things I've found.
I will use personal photos whenever possible, but may use press release/media photos if needed. Your company will receive credit for providing the product and I will provide appropriate links on my review as you request them.
Giveaways will normally run for about a week or two and are promoted here, on Facebook, Twitter, and other websites that I use for promotion. I also encourage giveaway entrants to post the info to their own blogs, Twitter accounts, Facebook pages, etc. This gets even more exposure for sponsors.
Sponsors are responsible for shipping review items to me and giveaway items directly to giveaway winners. I will provide sponsor with the name and shipping address of any winner upon completion of the giveaway. Integrity is extremely important to me, and you can rest assured that I always use a random, unbiased method for choosing my giveaway winners.
