(Road)Trip down Memory Lane
I love road trips. Long, short, doesn't matter. I'm all about finding new places to visit and see and experience.
I'm entering a giveaway to win a $200 Visa gift card so I can buy more gas so I can take more road trips. The theme is ... you guessed it, memorable road trips.
Ah! The memories! So many funny and wonderful and sometimes scary moments. Impossible to choose just one, and really, unless you've got a day or two to spare, I can only scratch the surface on this blog.
But I have to write about one, so the one that comes to mind right now is the time my little sister napped nearly all the way from Chicago to New Orleans.
We had pulled over to gas up and use the restroom and she was still asleep. Mom shook her awake and said if you need to go, better go now.
She shook her head no.
Some time later we were on the road again and suddenly noticed that my little sis was no longer in the back asleep! We doubled back and found her sipping soda waiting calmly for us at the gas station. Seems she decided she needed to "go" after all and slipped out undetected.
Not very funny then, but boy we've laughed about it a lot since!
Even funnier? My sister is now the one who insists on driving on our road trips. :)
